Simon attended Blackburn College and studied Information Communication Technology along with Business Studies. He then went on to study Accounting and Finance at Manchester Metropolitan University. After graduating Simon joined Pierce in May 2007 where he had spent the previous two summers on placement.

Simon is nearing the completion of his accountancy studies and specialises in audits, accounts preparation and Solicitors Accounts Rules.

He is a keen supported of Preston North End and regularly attends Deepdale.
