Pierce Office

In partnership with Natwest Bank, Pierce is pleased to invite you to our economics event on November 7 with guest speaker Stephen Boyle, Chief Economist at RBS and director of the bank’s main pension fund.

Stephen will deliver a thought-provoking session, providing an interesting insight and opinion into the UK economy, potential effects of Brexit, key issues facing businesses, and most importantly, how it may impact companies in Lancashire.

A Q&A session will follow the seminar, allowing you to ask Stephen any burning questions that are specific to your business.

Educated at Glasgow and McGill Universities, Stephen joined RBS in 1996 as Head of Business Economics for five years before returning in 2006 after establishing Futureskills Scotland – the Scottish government’s labour market analysis unit. Stephen’s role includes providing economic advice to the business, credit and strategy functions across RBS as well as understanding the trends in the economy and what it means for the bank and its customers in the different markets and geographies they operate in.

Stephen is a member of the Policy Committee of the Centre for Economic Performance at London School of Economics and trustee of the Scottish research institution, the David Hume Institute.
