News Item: National Minimum Wage
The Government has announced new National Minimum Wage rates to take effect in October 2009. The rates are as follows:
aged 22 and over - £5.80 (£5.73) an hour;
18 to 21 year olds - £4.83 (£4.77);
16 and 17 year olds - £3.57 (£3.53).
