Anne Brophy

I was working as a typist for the firm of Simpson Ashworth Slinger Solicitors on Willow Street in Accrington when I was interviewed for a position in the then new offices of Pierce at Strawberry Bank in Blackburn.

When I first joined the Firm I worked mainly as a typist, at first in the back office, nipping thorough to attend to reception. The job evolved until eventually I had to move my typewriter out into the reception area in order to be able to deal with the level of visitors passing through reception.

Now working part-time and solely on reception at Mentor House (the typewriter has now been replaced with a computer) I am very happy working at Pierce, it is a lovely firm to work for, full of nice people.
