Payroll Manager

Overview:

I have worked both in accountancy practices and industry throughout my career, gaining experience in both a payroll bureau and an in- house function.

Most of my time has been spent in the Manchester area, more recently moving back to Blackburn were I was born.

My role involves processing payrolls from small to large employers, completing CIS returns, providing support to clients, handling RTI and any new project that arise.

My role will develop into taking over responsibility of managing the payroll department. I like a new challenge whether it is in my career or my social life. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and going to the gym.

Qualifications and professional achievements:

BA (hons) - Business and Marketing

IPP - Diploma in payroll management

CIPP - Certificate in Pensions Administration

This certificate is aimed at both the public and the private sector and is an excellent qualification for payroll professionals who are responsible for administration relating to automatic enrolment

 

How did you end up working for an accountancy practice?

After studying for my degree an opportunity arose to work in an accountancy practice to begin studying ACCA. When training I was placed in the payroll department and my career diverted towards payroll.

Unusual Facts:

I lived in Vienna for a year.
