Brief overview of job role: Accountancy and audit work

My career journey:

After completing my ACCA qualification in 2010, I was trained by two of the ‘Big 4’, EY and KPMG in Pakistan and Abu Dhabi specialising in audit and consultancy. Moving forward, I worked in the Manufacturing and Financial Services for a couple of years doing predominantly corporate finance work. Then I got married and moved to the UK in 2015 and joined Pierce after I worked for a small practice in Manchester.

The best thing about working for Pierce is:

The working atmosphere. All staff are friendly and co-operative, always helping each other out and have a smile on their faces. Also, I get to experience a vast range of clients from different industries.

I can't get through a day at work without: A gigantic mug of coffee.

If I hadn’t gone into accountancy, I would have been: A chef.

Outside of work I like to:

Go for a run no matter what the weather dictates. I like spending time with my family and enjoy travelling around the world. I used to play polo and tennis in the past but now I just play it on my Nintendo Wii.

Not a lot of people know this about me but…

I’ve put my hand in the mouth of crocodile in Bangkok, Thailand. And I survived!
