We are delighted to announce that Emily Phelan, apprentice within our Payroll department is a finalist for the Regional Apprenticeship Awards.
Emily began her career at Pierce in March 2020 just as the Covid pandemic hit. She spent a short amount of time working in the office and getting to know the team before having to work remotely at home. In addition, Emily had recently located to Blackburn to be closer to family so knew few people in the area. Despite the challenges she faced Emily powered on through and has made an invaluable member of staff.
Our Payroll Manager, Philip Johnson said:
"Emily has proven herself to be a dedicated and valuable member of the payroll team, and getting recognised as a finalist in the regional apprenticeships awards comes as no surprise. The work she has been doing over the past 18 months in supporting clients with their furlough claims has been invaluable and she should be incredibly proud of her achievements in such a short period of time."
We are looking forward to seeing Emily progressing further as she begins her payroll journey.
