Springhill Care Group
Quote from Ken Nolan:
Paul Warren became involved right at the start of my business journey, helping with negotiations and securing the funds needed. He already had a relationship with my family so was the natural choice of Business Adviser and Chartered Accountant.
Securing funding as a 23 year old for a fairly significant investment wasn’t easy, but Paul took on the hard work and played a major role in helping me to start Springhill Care Group.
30 years on, as well as providing projections, business advice, audit and accounting, Pierce has stepped in to help many times when I have needed specific advice or guidance.
We first approached Pierce in early 2012 when we were looking for a firm of accountants to provide company taxation advice and strategic support to our rapidly growing businesses.
From the outset we were suitably impressed with how quickly the salient aspects of our business were identified by Nadeem Hussain and Simon Diggle and they made many relevant, timely and insightful suggestions. When it came time for the appointment of auditors, we did not look elsewhere. We consider Pierce to be an integral part of our external advisory team and look forward to developing the relationship in years to come.
Lancashire Brick & Tile
Mark Maden-Wilkinson, a director at Pierce, said: “Lancashire Brick & Tile is a business which has carved out a real niche for itself in the highly competitive construction sector and we are delighted to welcome them as clients.
“By continuing to provide a quality service the business has grown its reputation in a way that means it has been able to win work overseas as well as closer to home.”
Martyn Wells of Lancashire Brick & Tile said: “As we enter the latest stage of the company’s development it was important to ensure our business advisors had the necessary experience and expertise.
“We were impressed with Pierce’s background, and look forward to a successful relationship as we continue to balance quality with value for our customers.”
Paul Warren has been my accountant since 1991, he has helped me through buy-ins, buy-outs, company openings and closures, expansion and contraction, share purchases and sales, takeovers, agreements, computerisation, borrowing, tax and VAT investigations, weekly, monthly and annual accounts, tax efficiencies, directors loans, success and failures, buying and selling property, wills, inheritance planning and good old business consultancy.
This is just a fraction of what he’s done and I admit I’m not always the easiest person to handle but he’s always kept his cool. His team including Gary, Margaret, John, Nadeem, and Andrew, to name but a few, are all top class and treat me as if I’m important to them.
I would recommend Pierce to anyone – they are excellent.
I am in regular contact with their tax department and my queries are always dealt with quickly and thoroughly. We get so much more than just an audit from them – I have no regrets in transferring our business to them.
Higginsons of Grange
We never really realised how important a good accountant and business advisors were, until we joined Pierce. They have transformed our business and personal affairs dramatically for the better and we find their personnel very helpful and obliging, with their professional services invaluable.
If, as a client, I was asked why do I use Pierce as our auditors, corporate finance and taxation advisers what would my response be? I am an accountant having trained with one of the large “Big 4” international practices and in my career have dealt with firms of all sizes and to me the reason I have used Pierce for the last nine years is fairly simple. The practice is large enough to have the expertise and knowledge that I need and require for our business, but of such a size that I can deal directly with individuals who have the knowledge and experience, understand our business and are there to build long term relationships.
