Carl Connor

My career journey:

I studied Chemistry at Sheffield University and then trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG. Since then I’ve worked for Gallaher Tobacco both in Manchester and London. Following that I worked in London for The National Association of Pension Funds where I was the Finance Director and the Bishopsgate Institute where I was the Chief Accountant. In 2005, I moved to Australia but returned in 2006. Since then I’ve been back in practice working for Lopian Gross Barnett and Kay Johnson Gee both based in Manchester.

The best thing about working for Pierce are:

The staff who are all friendly and helpful.

I can't get through a day at work without...

At least two cups of tea. Milk no sugar thanks.

If I hadn’t gone into accountancy, I would have been:

A teacher.

Outside of work…

These days I’m mainly a couch potato and I tend to binge watch TV series.
