I qualified with BDO Stoy Hayward in Manchester in 1996 and moved to Pierce the same year and have worked though the ranks at Pierce. I now look after my own portfolio of small and medium sized businesses providing general, accounting and taxation advice. I also act as audit RI on a number of the firm’s larger audit clients working closely with other directors in the firm.
How did you end up working for an accountancy practice?
I have a First Class honours degree in Accountancy and Economics from Stirling University and so I seemed destined to take this path.
At 17 I was included in the England Golf Training Squad and was in the same golf team at Stirling as the former British Women’s Open Golf Champion, Catriona Matthew.
