With a trusted focus on the success of our clients and employees, the core services we provide helps clients meet their day-to-day business requirements whilst our added solutions assist with strategic business decisions.
To achieve the success we strive for, we are committed to providing career opportunities for outstanding candidates and advocating for apprenticeships. Currently, we have fifteen employees developing their expertise via a wide range of professional qualifications across all departments.
Historically, there has been limited opportunity to attain a professional qualification via the apprenticeship route, but this trend has changed over recent years with the introduction of higher-level apprenticeships, becoming a valuable alternative to university.
HR Director, Lisa Kennery said, “As a firm, we pride ourselves on collaborating with schools/colleges to educate the next generation of workers on roles within the professional sector and the skills now required which is a changing landscape due to technology and mindsets.”
We are a pledge partner with Lancashire Skills Pledge, an organisation providing businesses with information about Lancashire’s key skills and training initiatives, committing to seven of the eight pledges to upskill, recruit, and inspire the younger generation. We have two enterprise advisors, Lisa Kennery and Hazel Johnson, who support the careers lead at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Blackburn with practical and strategic advice.
Coinciding with the above, we work with Northwest Apprenticeship Ambassador Network (NWAAN) cementing our dedication to apprenticeships. Layton Smalley, a successful apprentice at Pierce, is proud to be the Diversity and Inclusion Board Lead dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Georgia Culver recently completed the ACA qualification alongside a level 7 apprenticeship and said “I found the apprenticeship great for developing my knowledge and pathway to ease my way into the accounting profession. Pierce is very understanding and well experienced to aid in an apprenticeship. Finding a balance between working full-time and studying part-time was manageable and I felt both capable and confident I was heading in the right direction.”
We are experiencing an exceptional period of growth and as a result, are offering tremendous opportunities for early careers. We endeavour to push our employees to achieve their ambitions. Please email Lisa Kennery, l.kennery@pierce.co.uk if you are considering an apprenticeship at Pierce.
