Simon Diggle

I trained with a local practice and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 and moved to Pierce in 2001. Over the years my role at Pierce has continually developed. I have responsibility for audit, accounts and tax for owner managed businesses from sole traders through to large groups of companies. I was promoted to Associate Director in 2011.

Qualifications and professional achievements:

Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1998.

How did you end up working for an accountancy practice?

Following graduation from The University of Liverpool in 1995 I decided upon embarking on a career in gainful employment – accountancy seemed the obvious choice. Nearly two decades!! later I am glad I followed my instincts.

Unusual Facts:

I escaped unscathed (some may disagree) when I fell out of a moving car on a busy town centre street. My embarrassment was compounded when the driver didn’t notice and the car didn’t stop. I had to chase the car up the street!
